The Best Father's Day Ever

David said, that this has been the best Father's Day ever! That's pretty much exactly what you want to hear when you have tried to do just that.
Ren designed David's killer t-shirt he's wearing. We made another one from a portrait of him that she made about two years ago. I'll take a picture of him in that one after his nap.
Ren wanted to skip church today and just have David ALL day.
Father's Day schedule so far has been.
1. Sleep in.
2. Breakfast in bed.
3. Be showered with presents and pictures.
4. Go to a steaming hot, but beautiful park. (Picture above)
5. Gone to a late lunch where he was accosting strangers to admire his sweet shirt.
6. Nap.
AND we still have some more Father's Day Adventure's to go!

First Lake Day 2009

We were invited by a friend to his lake cabin. It was such a gorgeous day!
I started taking these pictures, because I asked Willa if she wanted me to take her picture and she said, "Yesh!" I hopped to it and then she started posing. Every time before I would take a shot I would ask her if she wanted me to take another and she would smile and say, "Yesh!"

Cake had a sleepover and Ren had invited her to this lake affair without knowing that she wasn't coming. We brought her along and I'm so glad that we did, because they were barely out of the water the whole time.

Lydia spent the night and watched Willa so that David and I could take Ren on a special date to see UP. It was such a great movie! This morning Wizzie was hanging with "La-Dee-Dee-A!" This kid cracks us up.

A Great Day Together

Today was a great day for us to just be together as a family. David has been working a lot. We are VERY thankful for that, but it does slowly grind on all of us. We had a great slow morning. We made it to church on time AND Willa made it into her class before it closed. We went downtown for lunch and heard a cool, girl, bluegrass band. We played at a park that Ren loves and we ended the day by sidewalk chalking, and eating a three berry tart of Dan's that is one of my most favorite desserts in the world!

A European tourist happened by...

What are these things called? Fanny packs? I think that's the name. Well, I call them Poota Pouches. I don't know why, but that is what I have called them since they came onto some peoples fashion scenes. This is Ren's Poota Pouch, but Willa wants to wear it all the time and I think it looks so funny that I let her. If this explains it we had to take it off right before bedtime the other night, because she was tromping around in her pj's with it and then also wore it to church today. Hilarious.

Last Day of Kindergarten

Ren and Willa looked so cute and I actually had a few minutes before running out the door and dropping off and teaching.
Usually when I only have a few minutes is when they shine and I want to pack them up and take pictures all day long.

I love this one. I love the way Ren's little bod is contorted.

Oh, I love these girls.

David out of the blue will say, "Do you think we're done having kids?" My response is usually is, "Oh, don't ask me this! I don't know?!"
What I always say is, "I just know I adore the ones we have"

Did you find Ren yet? Yeah, I didn't think so. Alphabetical order is good, but not great for pictures. My little sweetie is up on the top one in from the left.
Maybe if you maximize this you will see some pretty blond hair. Maybe.
