The Bean Turns Four!

Eden turned four last week and we had a birthday bash last friday to celebrate.
I believe this present she's holding is from Lydia.

I made this cake for her. She wanted a Ladybug birthday cake. The lady bug had a neck problem and looked more like a red turtle from the side.

This Peanut had pink doogles (sorry, but true) for days!!! Quite alarming.

Oh,Snuggle Puppy of Mine.............

I came up to check on Ren the other night and found her like this. Puppy is a really good friend.

Some people use sleep flaps. Ren uses puppy ear. Quite effective.

Stay-Puff Marshmallow Girl

Ren looked so cute and immobilized bundled up in her gear that I grabbed the camera. I have such good memories of shoving myself into my snow gear and overheating until I finally stepped out into the slicing cold and played and played til all I could do is pray and hope that we had hot chocolate to greet me when I came into the house. Thankfully for Ren and her cousins we did and that is part of the incentive for them to get out there in the first place. The Legumes are usually talking about their needs for hot beverages before they even leave the doorstep.

Where the Wild Things Are

This photo shoot started with me just wanting to get a picture of Ren in this cutie pair of jeans. Bean of course needed to jump into the shot, BUT before I could get this picture I had (see below) two tigers running around me in circles roaring and giggling like all wild animals should.

Once again, teeth.

Look at those wild things tearing it up!

Can you hear the raaaaarrrrrr?

Just a little something to make you smile.

I started taking pictures today, because this is a hand me down outfit from Eden that is now on Ren's beautiful bod. This skirt is a family pleaser. It is so cute to see their little bums in this poofy skirt and they know they got it goin on too.

Busy eating and talking at Legume HQ.

Love it.

They started to get a little punchy while I was taking their pictures and began to hide in the curtains.

I love this shot of their little feet.

KAPOW!

Attacking the paparazzi.

Demo Update

It probably won't look that different to you, but this is our stairwell with all the paneling and old drywall ripped off. David actually was able to get off part of the runner.

This is Ren's room. I ran up and down and up and down with buckets of this stuff down to the dumpster.

This picture below is Ren's ceiling. Just one chunk left.
David has started to lift up the floor. So far it has come up a whole inch in the front.
I'll keep you posted.

Good help is hard to find.

These are Ren and Eden's "pretty faces."

The girls are wearing identical aprons that they received as stocking stuffers this Christmas. They were my helpers today as I made tunafish sandwiches for lunch. They looked so adorable we had to break and take pictures.

Apparently going cross country twice in two years isn't good for old cars.

The Peanut and I need a new ride.
Our Camry was pronounced dead this past Saturday much to our chagrin.
The timing isn't really great at all.
(Not that there is ever good timing with car trouble.)
If you think of us please pray. Lord knows we are!

Legumilates

I found the Legumes at HQ discussing exercise. Or at least the word exercise was in their mostly unintelligable exchange.
I asked," oh, so you guys exercise?"
"Oh yes, oh yes." with some garbles was their response.
"So, do you do Pilates?" I said.
"Oh sure, sure!" They said like it was a no brainer.
Would you do some Pilates for me?
I think these pictures say the rest.
It just proves to me that there is always more for me to learn in my career.

I have a fondness for this one. It cracks me up everytime I see it.
She looks like she just got shot with a tranquilizer gun.

I am often found doing this "signature" move. I bet you didn't know that couches were an integral part of Pilates.

This one below is my favorite. We asked the name of this move and they said, "scratchin the big floor." Need I say more?

Demo Days

This is a picture of me taking a shot from my studio-to-be into the dining room.

This will be my studio.

This is the dining room.

This is our kitchen. Should I keep the ducks?

From the kitchen looking into the dining room and studio.

Kitchen again.

Our friends Janet and Seth came over and not only made us an amazing lunch, but also stayed and helped out a ton.
Here is Seth doing some deep meditation before karate chopping through the wall.
This space is where we will have an upstairs living room. The prior owners had put up a wall right over the carpet to make it a three bedroom, but the wall made the tiny bedroom seem like a coffin. The door behind him here is the bathroom.

This is Ren's room after the nasty carpet was torn out.

Karate kids receivers.

This stair runner is glued down. It's gonna be a lot of fun to tear out.

There it goes!

New living room.

Our bedroom.

Unfortunately, this is the bathroom.

I know, I know, you didn't think it could get better did you?

Can you say spa time?

David was bent over and I was going to get a good bum whap in, but he moved just a little too soon. This is me in the entrance to the upstairs living room and David is at the top of the stairs.

Our dumpster that is getting way too full way too fast.
