Nathan and Shannel Visit

Nathan, my brother and his girlfriend Shannel visited in August. The Peanut Gallery got a little backed up, because I finally realized that when people visit and I just want to be with them so, I don't take as many pictures. So here it is almost October. Oh well, better late than never. I just wanted to say that it was so great to have you guys visit and we miss you!

Bling

Ren loves jewelry. Is love a strong enough word to describe? Probably not. Anyway, she put her pajamas on the other night and came out with all the bling. You know, as do you every night when you put your jammies on. Right? Then when I said that she looked so gorgeous I needed to get a picture she went into this pose. Perfect.

Sporty Spices

I signed Ren up for a Sports Sampler class at the YMCA just a few blocks from our house. I called my sister and asked if she wanted to get the Cake in too. She did. So, here you have our athletes. Most of the time we parents were cracking up watching our kids run around like little puppies knocking into each other.

The littlest spectator.

After the class was over the Y had a special three hour open house with all kinds of events to hopefully get new members. It is a beautiful facility and the kids had so much fun!

The Wizz couldn't take it anymore and had to pass out. I love her little foot up on the rail here.

Time with Ren

Ren has had the baking bug lately. We decided to make some cookie bars together. Willa was napping and we were listening to music and baking. I love to bake. I really love to bake with Ren. Sometimes I find myself and I can actually be present in a moment as a mom and say, "wow, I love this job. I'm so glad that she's mine." It's something I always believe and think, but it's easy to get overwhelmed and just get through the day whether it was good, great or stinky. This was a great, simple day. Here Ren still has on her apron and started to set up a play area while the cookies baked.

Then she wanted to take a picture of me.

As we say in this home, "Even when you're making a stinky choice, I still LOVE YOU!"
Oh, and I do.

Unusual Suspects

The girls and I went to the Public Museum with Alison and Christopher on Monday. It was a really fun time. We were cracking ourselves up with Willa here.

Yup, we were still laughing.

Ooh, look at that tough girl.

Well, he's kind of tough. I mean he's definitely scary, but maybe not in that normal convicty sort of way. Christopher always gets a laugh out of me when he makes this ridiculous expression.

This exhibition was called whodunit?
It is an exhibition about a crime and then you follow the process that the professionals go through. It was pretty cool and the kids really liked it.

Here's somebody behind bars.

They had a GR cop car for people to roam around in. I love that C. is always willing to get into the part.

Hmm. Maybe Alison and Paul should think about installing one of these at their ranch.

Oh, sweet freedom!

And sweet sleeper.

I love this kid. They had a classroom set up and we all fell into roll play with C.H. as the professor. I didn't have a seat so I ended up being the bratty class clown and this is a picture I took after C. sent me to the corner and I shook my booty at him while I was there. He of course enjoyed it.

They have this great old carousel that overlooks the river.

Aunt Alli's Visit

My sister took these pictures. I didn't take a ton of pictures when Dax and Allison were here because we were going to the beach a lot and we've already been hurt from taking a camera to the beach,  i.e. we don't have that beach camera anymore.

These pictures are so cute.

First Day of Kindergarten!

Here she is in all her Kindergarten glory.

I think this picture of Willa and Ren is so cute. Willa looks like a wise old man baby.

Ren asked if she could take a picture of me and Willa.

This is after her first full day of Kindergarten with her teacher.
