Children's Museum

Our children's museum in town is fantastic! It is just over a mile from our house. I don't have a membership yet, but for the month of August they are offering FREE admission to anyone who has a Zoo membership, which we do, thanks to Grandpa and Grandma P. Alison and the kids went with us three times this past week. We had a lot of fun.

This is part of the Chinese exhibit. It is a restaurant. I would have loved this when I was little.

The great thing is that the museum really caters to all ages. Lydia and Christopher love it just as much as Eden and Ren.

Christopher was COMPLETELY hilarious at this restaurant! I was giggling as I was holding the camera, because he acts like Emril from Foodnetwork. He had this whole ridiculous routine. I loved it.

Chopping furiously.

Of course he whacked his thumb.

Right next door was an art area for kids to make Chinese lanterns.

My sister helped put Rens together for me.

I thought it made some nice "bling, bling."

Bubbles!

This contraption is awesome. People can rarely get the bubble to engulf them and Christopher did it every time without fail.

It was a great fun day!

Update on our side of the duplex

We are still not done with our side of the duplex, but we've had to pause and work on the rental side so that we can have some amazing, super sweet, paying on time, quiet people live next door. People were requesting new pictures showing what we have updated. I forgot to take pictures of Ren's room and will do so in a later post.

This is the upstairs family room.

The kitchen still needs the floors and ceiling finished.

Love the new doors, but I can't wait to frost the glass and have the drywall finished.

When the drywall in my studio closet is done that will feel fantastic.

Dining room. This futon was left in the house and it has come in very handy.

Our room.

The hallway and linen closet still need to be finished.

I am so proud that I haven't killed these hanging baskets!
