First Lake Day

Alison and I decided to hit the beach on Sunday. We like to go at around 3:00pm, because by then it just doesn't seem so horrible and oppressive and some people that were there at 9am have finally left.

The girls.

I was trying to get this picture of Christopher. He was playing hard to get, but I got him.

The Bird wanted to be buried.

Poor girl had the Legumes and Christopher kicking sand into her mouth and eyes. Now how did that sand get into her mouth so easily?

I had my cheap sunglasses stolen right in front of me the other day at a store. I was talking to a friend and my glasses fell into a stairwell in front of us. I unfortunately had to walk around to go down the stairs. In that time someone swooped them up and snatched them. It was maybe a total of three minutes passing. I am obviously still in shock, which is why I had to go through the torture of telling you that I squinted a lot yesterday. A lot.

This is Christopher sleeping.

Breaking out!

Rounding up Ren and Eden.

Alison asked if I would take a picture of her with her kids. It seems like a simple request doesn't it? It took forever. Ren was standing with Alison obediently, but needed to be next to me to wait for the two of us to have our picture taken and when Eden wasn't acting like a dog she was cuddled up next to me.

I think it worked out perfect.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!

This is a card Ren made for David. I wrote the " Happy Day for", per Ren's request, but she wrote the "Papa".

This is David trying to imitate the portrait that Ren made of him in his card.

I think she really captured him. Don't you think?

Poor David was sick with hives all weekend and just started feeling better today.

I know this is a ton of pictures, but they both were enjoying the photo shoot so, I kept snapping. I like this picture a lot.

Ren is maturing and naming all her former stuff animals that had names like, Red Puppy or Little Puppy or Puppy or....... you get the point. This is now named Grace.

Trying to eat something is always good fun.

I love you.

Bathing Beauties

The pool is now in session.
Ren looks like a little gymnast in this picture, because of the angle I took it from and also her stiff stance.

Eden is really into thumbs up! I could have done a post alone just on the series of pictures that I took of the Bean here.

Here is the Bird setting up her charity salon. Lydia has been perfecting her salon skills for the last several years. Her salons are the best. I say charity, because she is having fundraisers to help donate money to two families from our church that are adopting babies. So far she has raised something in the range of 32 dollars from her salon, lemonade stand and dessert sales. The Bird has a heart of gold.

Here is Ren running some supplies to the outdoor salon location. Ren adores Lydia and takes any chance to be her helper.

The Legumes in a sweet embrace.

Letting the world know their ages and that they will be twins for a while when Ren turns four in July.

Rennie and Lydia.

All the girls.

Jack is definitely one of the bathing beau.........bathing trouble makers at this point in his career.

Christopher asked me to take this picture. I love it when the kids request a picture to be taken, because they know it's good. He's so cute.

Lydia's Charity Salon. The Legumes are having Petticures done. I didn't want to correct Lydia, because the sign was so cute, but I forgot to take a picture of it. I received a full body massage for 2.00!

Danger One!

Ren is crashing in our room while my brother is in town. She asked if she could wear a pair of my socks to bed and I said, yes. These are the ones she picked.

She said, "Do you know what I look like?"

"No what?" I said.

"A Danger One!" She yelled.

"You mean a super hero?" She plays super heros with her cousins.

"No, a DANGER ONE!"

"What's a Danger One?" I ask.

"A Danger One helps get the bad guys!!"

"OOOOh, you definitely look like a danger one! Let me go get my camera and take a picture of you."

I came back with my camera and she proudly posed and said,

"I'm going to smile like a big sister."

Well done.

Cool Cat

I was getting ready to leave with Ren on some errands and came downstairs and she had grabbed my glasses and put them on and was striking a cool pose for me. She already felt like a million bucks in her new shirt. She almost couldn't handle how cool she looked with the glasses too!

I'm back in the saddle with blogging! Our laptop died....ugh, but we're back in working order now.
