Christmas 2006
Christmas Eve was at my mom's house. She still makes her children and son in laws stockings. It's really great. Mom always put a lot of care into decorating our tree and filling our stockings with actual little toys or things we would like not to mention a ton of candy which we have cut down on now as adults. She wanted to do something like stockings for her grandchildren, but we mom's do stockings for them now, so instead she fills special wooden boxes for them. They love their boxes and two Christmas's ago Ren and Eden had a great time decorating theirs with stickers that are still on them.
Christmas Day. Ren and Eden received these bunny plates and tea set from we parents as one of their presents. Lydia had one of the big plates and the Legumes often fought about who should get it. We are very happy we found these and so are they.

Maybe you've noticed if you're a regular attender of my blog that the Legumes are often found at the island. We jokingly started to refer to it as Legume Headquarters or HQ for short. I will be doing a post in the near future where I go through the last six months or more and record all the times I have taken a picture of them here. Maybe this will only amuse me, but that's the chance I'm willing to take.

The black stuffed lovey's name is Ginger. He was given to Christopher when he was a toddler in the hospital having the cochlear implant surgery. This dog is loved by one and all. Ginger is loved so much by Ren that we ended up buying her a miniture one to get her through a tough time being scared at night. Guess what the name of her baby one is? That's right! Her's is named Ginger too. When you've seen a good thing work, why mess it up?

Here are Ren and Eden hard at work in front of the art easel that Ren's grandpa and grandma got for her for Christmas. They had SO much fun!
